About Our School

Language is not just a subject. It is a way of thinking, communicating, and understanding the world.

At Artopolis Academy, learning Russian becomes part of a comprehensive educational experience. We combine language, literature, culture, creativity, and collaborative activities, helping students not only develop their Russian language skills but also nurture curiosity, confidence, critical thinking, and the ability to express their ideas freely.

Our goal is to build a strong language foundation and preserve each child’s meaningful connection with the Russian language and culture, whether they are growing up in a Russian-speaking or bilingual family.

Meaningful Weekends

Every Saturday and Sunday, our school comes alive with engaging activities, new discoveries, and exciting projects. We offer inspiring lessons, an individual approach, and extensive language practice to help children develop and thrive.

Learning by Age Group

Modern teaching methods, bilingual development, and immersive language learning through engaging and inspiring activities.

EYFS Approach

Ages 3–5

Learning is based on the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Through play, books, music, movement, creativity, and communication, children gradually become familiar with the Russian language, expand their vocabulary, and begin to use the language naturally.

The programme includes a gradual introduction to the Russian alphabet from the age of three. By the age of five, most students are ready for their first steps in conscious reading of simple words and short texts.
Special attention is given to developing speech, concentration, fine motor skills, imagination, and social skills.

School Age

From 5 years old

As children enter school age, learning becomes more structured and systematic.

Students continue to develop their spoken and written language skills, reading, literacy, and independent learning abilities.

For older groups, the programme includes exam preparation and the development of academic writing skills.

Thematic Learning

Each learning topic is carefully designed and combines a variety of activities: books, discussions, creative tasks, research, experiments, and projects.

Students learn new vocabulary and language structures in a natural context, where language becomes a tool for communication, exploration, and understanding the world around them.

Projects and Collaborative Learning

Collaborative projects help students apply Russian in real-life situations. Working in groups, students learn to discuss ideas, ask questions, listen to each other, make decisions, and present their results.

This approach develops not only language skills but also confidence, responsibility, and the ability to collaborate effectively.

Books as a Foundation

Contemporary children’s literature plays an important role in the Artopolis Academy programme. We read, discuss, and analyse the actions of characters, transforming stories into theatrical performances, creative projects, and discussions.

This approach helps enrich children’s language, expand their vocabulary, and develop a genuine interest in reading.

Teaching Approach

Our programme is based on modern international approaches to children’s education and bilingual development.
