The foundation of learning is communication, books, themed activities, and collaborative projects. This approach helps children develop their speaking and writing skills, expand their vocabulary, and express their thoughts more confidently in Russian.

For older students, the programme includes the development of written communication skills and exam preparation.

We operate in a weekend school format

Classes are held in small groups, allowing each child to receive maximum attention and individual support.

Russian for Beginners

For children whose primary language is English, we offer a dedicated Russian as a Foreign Language (RFL) programme.
Children are introduced to Russian gradually through engaging, play-based learning. Particular emphasis is placed on developing listening comprehension, expanding vocabulary, and building confidence in using Russian for everyday communication.

Additional classes

Additional classes give students the opportunity to develop their interests, learn new skills, communicate, and spend more time in a Russian-speaking environment.

Russian Language from Age 3 to GCSE

From first words and favourite stories to confident language skills and GCSE preparation, our programme helps children maintain their connection with the Russian language and culture, develop accurate and expressive speech, and become confident in reading, writing, and expressing their thoughts.

Chess Club 4+

Classes take place on Saturdays from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm. The club is run by Oleg Barentsev, a candidate master of sports and author of books and articles in several chess journals. He has 15 years of teaching experience. In the sessions, students master strategy, learn to analyse, and work out their own solutions.

Book Club 5+

In the book club, pupils discover the finest works of children's literature from around the world, discuss the plot, character traits, and characters' actions, and then create a creative project inspired by what they have read. This approach helps deepen reading comprehension, developing speech, imagination, and a love of literature. Classes take place on Saturdays from 4.00 pm to 5.00 pm.

Art Studio 5+

Classes take place on Saturdays and Sundays. The programme is structured around thematic modules. During the sessions, pupils are introduced to renowned artists, works of art, and composers, mastering various techniques and creating their own pieces from a range of materials to classical music.

Music Ensemble 6+

Classes take place on Saturdays from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm and on Sundays from 12.00 pm to 1.00 pm. The ensemble is led by Yevgeny Khromov, a musician, composer, and creator of the "History of Music and Sound" course. Pupils develop ensemble-playing skills, gain stage experience, perform well-known compositions, and write their own pieces.

Young Journalists Club 8+

In the Young Journalists' Club, children gather news material, conduct interviews, and prepare the issue for publication. Older participants film video reports, master the basics of presenting on camera, and manage the school YouTube channel. Classes take place on Saturdays from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm.
